Today's QOTD got me thinking. What is your bucket list car to drive?
It can be a car you want to own, track, take around town, or maybe just take it to your high school reunion to show up those kids who made fun of you for driving a car held together with duct tape.
Maybe it's a model T just to see what it was like. Maybe it's a F1 car so you can pretend to be Senna as you drive it through Manhattan with the roads closed off just for you.
Me? Diablo SV. This is the car I think of when I think crazy Lamborghini. I know what they say about them but I don't care. Me+Diablo SV+track to myself = dream drive

I would like to drive a Ferrari around a track one day. Also I'd like to drive a Tesla.
And do stage rallies.

You and I think exactly the same way. When I was 17, I had a dream where I was driving an SV along the Florida Gulf Coast. I could feel the shifter as it slid through the gate. I woke up lusting after that car.

a Bugatti Royale just once. IMHO supercars are kind of trite and played out. Something that is fast but makes you look like a giant dork. Tell me a better way than a Royale to feel like the ruler of the road without being a pretender who just has alot of cash

I do not think the Nissan R34 GT-R Nismo 'midnight purple' would be a great car to own, but the inner Paul Walker demands a thorough test drive.

I would love to run a true first gen Camaro Trans am race car around a track. The sound of a uncorked 302 Chevy small block will give you goosebumps and cause a bowel movement plus it's a small block V8 that turns over 10k RPM

A friend of mine spent a few months in New Zealand and got to drive a couple skylines (R32s I think). He said he was underwhelmed after all the hype but they were also stock and on public roads so he never really got to push/test them. They're definitely in my top 10

No need to worry about battery fires rallying a tesla right? Teslas are possibly among the cars people have listed that I could maybe one day drive. They're becoming so common it's only a matter of time before a current or future client has one and I can convince them to let me drive. Drove a new Jag XJ that way.

My wife's boss has a late 50's vette. I keep trying to get him to let me take some pictures of his cars, he's got 2 bentleys, a couple jags, the vette, a carrera 4s and a healey, sold his ferrari and the baby jag. He drives most of them when it's nice.

Pagani Zonda. Not picky about which model, but a Cinque would do nicely.

Sweet. We had a '73 stingray when I was in middle school. Rebuilt/modified it with my stepdad. It was awesome getting dropped off at school. It was the only hot rod we built I didn't get to drive.

I had a '76 in my 20's for about a year. I got rid of it to get something more modern....... It was beige anyhow and I hated that color but could not afford the black cherry paintjob I wanted for it.

I don't think it's a direct comparison. Bugatti designs and produces numerous special editions for "general sale". But Pagani tends to build custom cars for individual customers.

MarquetteLa

I think (and hope) that as long as there are customers willing to pay for Zondas, Pagani will keep making them.

MarquetteLa

Pagani made five Cinques in 2009. They each sold for $2.1 million USD. They then made five Cinque Roadsters, each selling for $2 million USD. Five Revolucions were built and sold for $2.7 million USD each.
I think Pagani is doing okay for themselves.

I'm sure there's a nice profit built into each but I wonder how much. There's a lot more high end materials going into each car than your average commuter car. I'd love to know just for curiosities sake
